Bexley MSK Service

Bexley MSK is a Multidisciplinary service providing care for a wide range of muscle, bone and joint pains and problems for adults in the Bexley locality. They are a large team of Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Hand Therapists and Pain Psychologists with expert knowledge in how to help people manage painful conditions.

They can help you to manage a range of common conditions, such as:

  • Sports injuries
  • Back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Tendinopathy
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Emotional distress caused by painful conditions

If your condition does not get better, your clinician will be able to help you onto the next stage of your care plan by facilitating:

Referrals for clinical investigations such as x-rays, MRIs, and blood testing

Referrals on for consultant opinions such as orthopaedics, rheumatology and pain management teams.

getUBetter app – to support you to self-manage all common muscle or joint conditions.

Working in partnership with the NHS, getUBetter is a free app designed to provide you with the knowledge, confidence, and skills to self-manage all common muscle or joint conditions. It is designed to be used alongside the health system and therefore will signpost you back into the system if you need additional review.

It is suitable for 80% of muscle or joint conditions, which includes new, ongoing or returning muscle or joint conditions. If you are already on a waiting list for treatment, it can support you while you are waiting.

The app covers a range of musculoskeletal injuries, these include:

·         Neck

·         Shoulder

·         Elbow

·         Wrist

·         Hand

·         Hip

·         Knee

·         Ankle

·         Foot

·         Lower limb tendinopathy

·         Upper limb tendinopathy

·         Sprains and strains
