Welcome to Plas Meddyg Surgery
New Computer System Installation
We are migrating to a new computer system on Thursday 12 September 2019. In order to facilitate this change the information held on our current system will be ‘cut’ on Thursday 5 September, which will have the following impact on our services:
Prescriptions - We will only be processing urgent prescriptions between 31 August and 12 September, therefore we request that any prescriptions that are due to be submitted within this timeframe are submitted before Tuesday 27 August 2019 in order that they can be processed early.
Online Services - Patients will lose access to online services and will need to register for the online services linked to our new system when invited to do so.
Appointments – There will be less routine appointments available in the days leading up to Thursday 12 September and very few on that actual day. Emergency appointments for urgent matters will still be available. Normal appointment availability will resume after 12 September.
Between 5 September and 12 September we will not be able to:
- Send prescriptions via the electronic prescription service
- Process routine referrals
- Receive blood results electronically
- Receive hospital letters, reports etc electronically
- Register new patients
We apologise for any inconvenience caused
The doctors and staff at Plas Meddyg Surgery aim to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare.
We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services, including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccination and well-person check-ups.
We are a training practice, training graduate doctors for a career in general practice.
In addition to everything you need to know about the practice, you will also find a wealth of health-related information in the menu on the right-hand side.
Our team are dedicated to your continued good health and approach your care with professionalism, discretion and friendliness.
The practice has a reserved car parking space for the disabled near the front door and a disabled toilet is also provided. All patient services are carried out at ground floor level.
PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE STAFF CAR PARK AT ANY TIME. Doctors need to be able to leave the surgery on emergency calls and must not be obstructed by vehicles in the car park.
- Book, view, amend, cancel and print appointments online.
- Order, view and print a list of repeat prescriptions for drugs, medicines or appliances.
- View, export or print summary information relating to medications, allergies and adverse reactions.
- Access to your detailed coded record (requires separate form to be completed).
